I have never seen wild apples!
Hello, Cindy. I bet you have seen crab apples (?). They come in all colours.
Love this image….have a delightfully mundane Monday:)
You too, Janet.
Love the shot!
🙂
I LOVE that photo. It reminds me of an old oil painting that should be hanging in the kitchen. Its moody and beautiful and a little bit abstract all at the same time.
Thank you for thinking all those things 🙂
Love this! It’s almost Christmassy with the green and red and red and gold.
Lovely photo, Tish. We too have windfalls on the ground in our garden but unfortunately they don’t look remotely like this. A large flock of blackbirds have been fighting over them for a good many weeks, so much so that our postbox and front gate area is now covered in mush, made worse by the fall out from the birds after they’ve eaten! Believe me, you wouldn’t want to see a photo, . . .
On a positive note, however, the birds are a joy to watch (from a safe distance away from the mush) as, despite their quarrelling, they seem to be having such a thoroughly good time.
Happy birds (once the squabbling’s done) filled with apples. That’s a lovely image, Kate.
I can smell them in that sunlight!
Beautiful capture, Tish. The light is wonderful. 🙂
It caught my eye 🙂
Do they taste as good as other apples?
Only if they’re made into jelly with lots of sugar added. They may be the ancestors of domesticated eating apples, but they are very acidic. The birds seem to like them though, at least when they have started to rot.
That seems to be quite some work just to make a fruit edible
Pretty colorful and interesting frame. Nice finding for this week’s entry. Good to see you again here in MMC 🙂
Thanks, Jithin.
My pleasure
Love all the autumn shades.
