Very interesting. We had a wonderful mackerel sky here tonight, the first I have seen here I think. Unfortunately I forgot to go back outside with the camera.
It was an angel with its wings down! Beautiful Color, a great picture! You have better clouds over there than we have in Virginia, Tish, I will try to import some! LOL 🙂
And their official name for a mid-height cloud like this is altocumulus lenticularis – formed by moist air rising above Wenlock Edge, and making it look as if we have a UFO above our wood 🙂
Most definitely call ghostbusters. Awesome cloud and you captured it well.
Cheers, Cee. Will put in that call asap 🙂
Ghostbusters. This is an answer on one side of the postcard only!
You are spot on with your one-side postcard answer, Sarah 🙂
ET got the phone call wrong??
Didn’t he just. There have been some strange phenomena along the Edge lately.
Yikes….
Wow! Great pic!
Cheers, Kendall.
Thanks Trish! Cheers to you, too!
Ghostbuster Extra Plus!
This makes me think they might need a huge hoover thingy to deal with this particular manifestation. Plenty of suction required.

Happy to send some your way, Mitch 🙂
Wowza! Yes I think a call to Ghostbusters may be in order.
I’m on to it 🙂
I think there’s a name for this kind of cloud, wish I could remember!
Yes, Lesley of the Kit Hill walk told me on Facebook, and now I’ve forgotten it. Drat!

Spectacular – Oh and do enjoy this sunshine 🙂
What a photograph! I am reminded of a video I saw about a dense cloud of starlings.
Yes, that’s just it – a murmuration 🙂
Manta Ray.
Now that’s really good, Bill. Escaped from the Silurian Sea 🙂
That’s a delicious image, Tish! Aliens? Why not? Perhaps we need them to take an objective look at the mess we’ve gotten in. 🙂 🙂
Yep. I think we could do with some wise intervention.
Really breathtaking photo of a mysterious…Ufo/cloud/ghost……?
