  1. And just how much do I love this, Tish? A sea of sand, rippled and forever changing! It is almost like we were lifted up from my scarab photo to see the big picture of the desert and all its shaded patterns. Magnificent!

      1. We only spent one night there, but yes, the stars, and then dawn were spectacular. Sleeping in a small tent, pitched on the sand was v. uncomfortable though, even with sleeping bags. Our Tanzanian driver-guide had the best night sleeping in the open back of his Land Cruiser with his feet out the door. He snored. All night!
