And just how much do I love this, Tish? A sea of sand, rippled and forever changing! It is almost like we were lifted up from my scarab photo to see the big picture of the desert and all its shaded patterns. Magnificent!

Hello, Brian. It’s the Dubai desert a long time ago.
Picha mzuri. Never been in the desert. Must be impressive. Kwaheri sassa Tish.
We only spent one night there, but yes, the stars, and then dawn were spectacular. Sleeping in a small tent, pitched on the sand was v. uncomfortable though, even with sleeping bags. Our Tanzanian driver-guide had the best night sleeping in the open back of his Land Cruiser with his feet out the door. He snored. All night!
LOL.
Still worth it for the stars.
Now you know how Saint-Exupéry felt.
