It’s not surprising Belorussian artist Marc Chagall chose to settle in the South of France – the light, the blues, the many sunshine days. These photos were taken on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice one late October afternoon:
It’s been pretty Mediterranean-like in Shropshire today, but I was definitely missing those blue waters for cooling off purposes, and the shady brollies.
I did not know Chagall was Belorussian! Why would you want to sit back-to-back with those two? How could your view rival the sea? Those umbrellas are perfect.
Ah, the Cote D’Azur!
What a stunning photo! We were there in May on a lovely day too.
It’s a lovely spot – even in the rain 🙂
I love the blues!
J’aime beaucoup!
🙂
That top photo is very inviting – I’d like to be there please. 🙂
It is definitely inviting.
Lovely!

So much beautiful blue. Sign me up for a space under those umbrellas!

We get those Cote D’Azur blues down here! Maybe not the parasols 😀
It was quite a show, I thought – all those parasols.
First one made me smile, and the second one I thought was a painting!
Such accommodating light 🙂

So beautiful! No wonder Chegall moved there – all those blues.
That second one has to be a movie clip, doesn’t it? 🙂 🙂
You’re right. It must be 🙂
The most beautiful blue of all.
What a glorious place. I’ve never been there. Maybe one day . . . . .

Nice would be an easy trip after the farflung places you have travelled to and in. The airport is at the end of the promenade 🙂
What a wonderful place! The blue brings a sense of ease.
Just seeing that vivid colour makes one smile, doesn’t it? 😀
Absolutely!
I think a few of us would like to be there!
