It looks a bit like the Pacific Northwest, where we live. My wife has often commented the best paint tones/colors for interior rooms resemble/mimic these color combinations, with blue/grey, splashes of sand and muted yellows. Like, the most calming colors for our homes remind us of nature.
I think that is so – northern sea colours are subtle and soothing, and then the paleness of sand or dried sea grass or driftwood. And a house in the dunes with sun bleached windswept weatherboarding, and a verandah and…

That first shot is particularly magnificent – all that light, and water, and the mountain silhouettes, and luminous clouds.
There’s something about the atmosphere over the Menai Strait that creates all this magic. 🙂
