This week Patti at Lens-Artists wants to see shadows and reflections in monochrome. So here’s a cloudy-day view of the Mawddach Estuary in Wales: upright and upside down. Intriguing, isn’t it. It’s making me think of a Rorschach inkblot test.

I love these clever little puzzles, and this was a perfect example of what makes them fun, and not necessarily obvious.
Love the way you always catch my drift, Margaret 🙂
in deed, which side is up?
🙂
Wonderful, creative and beautiful! Great reflections, Tish.
Thank you, Patti.
An excellent question Tish – I’m saying the last image is right side up but I could easily be wrong! Terrific example for the week’s challenge!
Soory, Tina. The photo under the heading is the right way up. The upside down view has a certain something though, so I can see why you chose it.
Brilliant!
Cheers, Jude.
Rorschach-like indeed!
🙂
I love it when you can flip reflections like that, Tish, and these are beautiful examples. Love them.
Happy you loved the flipping, Janet.
Great reflections! I love when water gets so reflective you can’t see which was is up. Sometimes, our rivers are like glass and you could flip the picture and barely notice a difference. I think maybe it’s more difficult to do it in monochrome, though. Your pictures are wonderful and that cloudy sky is fantastic.
Many thanks, Marilyn. It was a very lucky capture, given the light wasn’t too good at the time.
Love ‘em! Great little puzzles, Tish
Thanks, Sue 🙂
😊😊
Very clever and I see what you mean about the ink blots!
🙂
Wow. Well done. 😀
Thanks, Widders 🙂
How clever! And eautiful. And fun!
Thank you, A-C.
Stunning picture, Tish. You’ve inspired me! I love monochrome and clouds. They are the perfect study because of the contrast.
So happy to provide some cloud inspiration, Marsha 🙂
I’m sure you inspired others as well.
Oh so beautiful 🙂
Thanks, Lakshmi.
