It’s a really big rookery. We usually get some dramatic fly over displays before they go to roost. And yes it can be a bit eerie. And noisy. And there are jackdaws in amongst them too.
Thanks, Su. I think they were all taken at the end of the day, one of favourite times for trying to take photos i.e. when there’s hardly any light except from the Edge.
Love the blue/gray tint.
Thank you, Sherry. It gives a bit of ‘a lift’.
You have some pretty dramatic skies there. Nicely done.
Thanks, Thom. We have some very active clouds over the Edge.
Incredibly beautiful set of monochrome.
Thank you, Tish for sharing. 🙂
And a beautiful world it is Tish!
Many thanks, Tina.
So beautiful – the last image, Wenlock Edge, is keeping my eyes…
It’s a view that keeps us watching too 🙂
🙂
Great set, Tish…and drama in the skies!
Thanks, Sue.
Great cloudscapes and I love that Shropshire tree.
Ah yes. The ivy clad ashes. They are very striking, aren’t they. I remember your saying they made you think of Ents.
They do! Well remembered!
Great images, Tish. I especially love the third one. Are those crows returning to their nest? Quite spooky.

I remember we had the same where I lived as a child. The could be very noisy indeed and the jackdaws were thieves if you didn’t watch out . 😅
You have captured beautifully the atmosphere of winters approach
I think the post must have encouraged winter to happen! Much cooler today than it was yesterday 🙂
Great silhouettes! I love that look, but it only works when you have the right combination of light and dark. You got it absolutely perfect.
Thank you for that very nice comment, Marilyn.
These are fantastic images Tish. I love the edit; it really brings out the starkness of the images. So different to my world at the moment.

Oohhh. Lovely, Tish. That blue/gray shade is perfect for conveying the mood and the season. I’m so glad you posted these!
Many thanks, Patti. And thank you for another great theme.
I’m delighted you like it.
I really enjoy your monochromatic images….moody, atmospheric and exciting. Janet
Glad you liked these, Janet.
Perfect for the season. 🙂
