Those of you who come here often will know that the Linden Walk is Much Wenlock’s best loved path; mine too as it is only a couple of minutes from the house. It is always beautiful – whether in storm, snow, rain, sunshine, with or without leaves. It is also the enduring gift of the town’s physician, Dr. William Penny Brookes, who with his friends planted it in the 1860s. Thank you. Dr. Brookes. I should remember to say this more often.
Blessed you are, in more ways than one. 😃 Just snatching 5 minutes with figs and yoghurt between assaulting the cupboards 😕 xx
Figs and yoghurt? Yum! I started my lunch with Serano ham and fig!
Figs! I’m missing them. Greek ones, warm from the tree.
I miss the figs from the tree in my garden at my previous abode…have to make do with imported Turkish ones….but this year there have been some lovely ripe ones, and I let them warm on a sunny windowsill
Now that’s a sound plan – warming on the window sill. Thank you.
I love my food, and always thinking of easy ways to get a result!
Oh dear ‘Courage, mon brave!’ Am sure the figs will put some pep into the assault. Good luck!
That’s such a beautiful walk.
It is 🙂
Do you pay for couples to walk ahead of you?
😀😀👏😂
🙂
Ha! That’s so funny. Truth to tell, I do a bit of lurking, though not for too long 🙂
What a glorious spot, no wonder it’s a favorite! Perfect choice for the week. Prettiest in snow but u can imagine the fresh air in all seasons!
Thank you, Tina. I like the snow shot best too 🙂
It certainly looks a marvellous path, Tish!
And available for all abilities – pushchair occupants and mobility scooters.
Very good!
It is certainly a wonderful gift.
Isn’t it just 🙂
Looks so peaceful. How long a walk is it. And figs…mine didn’t do much this year. Crazy early weather I’m guessing.
It’s not very long – the side of the recreation ground, but it links up with other walks – up Windmill Hill and along the old railway line which is a mile or so.
Thank you dear Doctor
🙂
What an amazing place. You are so fortunate!
We are 🙂
Indeed, very beautiful and inviting path in all seasons, Tish!
Thank you, Peter.
Ah! England’s green and pleasant land.
The park looks beautiful all four seasons! A perfect choice for the path, Tish. 🙂
Many thanks, Amy 🙂
I so enjoyed seeing these different variations on this fabulous walk!
So happy you enjoyed the photos.
You certainly have a gem there…beautiful shots.
Many thanks.
A path for all seasons ~ I am sure I would love the path most in summer but photo-wise the path in winter is my favourite.
I think the winter scene has all manner of resonances. More edge 🙂
🙂
Great choices , your paths …
All of them!
Thank you, Anna.
Well that made me shiver!
Sorry about that. It is a shivery shot 🙂
