I took it yesterday along the old railway line. The snow had brought down quite a few smaller trees – hence the jungly look. Had to clamber here and there.
Well you certainly copped a lot this time! I think I only saw a sprinkling of snow in the entire 5 years I lived in Ludlow, but I do recollect how beautiful the Shropshire hills looked in 2010. Love this photo with the autumnal leaves clinging on with their chilly ‘fur’ coats and the sun pretending to be a star.
Thank you for that cheery greeting, Brian. All the very best wishes to you and yours. We do indeed have a huge chimney, though Santa might have problems with the wood burner’s narrow flue.
Magnifique 🙂
Merci beaucoup 🙂
so wonderful and I was wondering if you had to climb into the brush to get this “Magnifique” shot – so good

Awesome, Tish! Are you still in there or is it now slush? 🙂 🙂
Very very slushy now, but still a lot of dirty heaps left. Lost its magic. Aaaah!
😦
Or did I mean? 😦
Well I suppose you can have too much snow – even the sparkly stuff. Could do without everywhere being quite so soggy though, so maybe it is a 😦
I regret slush! This has been a lovely snow-fix
There may be more pix…

Am amazed like you at the amount we got. Not had snow like this in Shropshire for simply ages. Last I remember of any note was around 2006.
What a lovely shot. I hope you have a good chimney in your house.
Merry Christmas, Mensahib, and a happy New Year.

He would delegate to his elves…
Phew! That’s a weight off my mind. Couldn’t be doing without pressies 🙂
😎
This is beautiful, Tish. I know what snow is like when it gets dirty and slushy, but I love it enough to put up with those bits. Wish we had some.

First thought…’Narnia -esque” . 🙂
I like that, Ann, Now you mention it, our old railway line IS a bit like Narnia. It definitely intersects with an alternative reality on some level.
Snow! Bah Humbug!
Very envious – we have had none since 1st December 😦
A striking image Tish.
Gorgeous!
