You can’t beat the Welsh island of Anglesey for good cloud effects – and especially over the Menai Strait and mainland mountains. These are all winter views.

Thursday’s Special: Pick A Word
Wow! Your images are the reason why I put Wales on my places to visit list! 🙂 You have made me a treat Tish. Atmospheric shots that leave one longing to be there and explore.
Lots to see there, but as you found in the north, the weather can be very wet and unpredictable. So happy to give you a treat 🙂
Still, I prefer it to this heat 🙂
These are stunning, Tish! You’ve been saving them. 🙂 🙂
I think she has, Jo!
I think I have quite a few tucked away 🙂
That wouldn’t surprise me. 🙂 🙂
I’m moving into the Pilot’s House tomorrow!
Yes, it’s fabulous isn’t it, and there’s an identical one next to it. I think they’re holiday lets. But what a spot – looking over the Strait and out to sea.
Excellent images, Tish!
Wow! Your calling just might be photos. Beautiful
Thanks 🙂
All very atmospheric. The last two could be book covers for thriller novels.
Ah, now you’ve got me thinking again – just need a good plot…
The one of Pilot’s house is superb. The blue/green in the bottom windows? Wow. The light in this shot is something else. A unique moment. It deserves a frame and a wall.
Thank you, Ark. And our house has so few walls! I think there must be blinds in those windows, the place shut up for the winter perhaps,
🙂 Makes my day to look at these.
That’s so nice to know.
All those wonderful fingers of god, studies in light, and altogether splendid photos.
Thank you, Meg. You can see why Anglesey was a druidic stronghold – until the Romans routed them.
These are terrific images. Thank you!
Happy you like them, Jennie,
😀
These are wonderful shots Tish. You’ve captured the light beautifully.
I think it’s the sort of place where the light presents itself. I was just lucky to be there 🙂
absolutely fabulous with this alliterative title too – the lights in the window and the sense of winter weather outside is a brilliant capture
Thank you, Laura. Glad it hit the spot 🙂
Wonderful drama in every shot!
Thank you, Gilly.
