Or should I say sugar rush. The bees and peacock butterflies were certainly tucking in when I went into the garden at lunch time. The Doronicum is clearly dish of the day.

I liked that too. At one point there was a bee and a butterfly on the same flower, but the bee didn’t want to share.

Stunning photos. what’s your secret! Whenever I try to photograph butterflies they fly off a split second before I press the shutter button.
Hello John. A week or so ago they were being very ‘flighty’ or closing their wings when one tried to ‘snap’ them, but yesterday they were being very obliging and staying still as per photos. Maybe as the season goes on, eating becomes more important than ‘running away’.
Lovely peacocks. I still haven’t seen a single one this year, they must all be in the West Midlands!
