The evening sunlight helped. I was thinking the scene was all a bit surreal. I was actually aiming at a monochrome shot of the artichoke and then I noticed the ant.

And some of the little blighters bit me a lot when I harvested the artichokes. Surprisingly painful for such tiny mandibles.

Reminds me of that childhood song about how the ant said it can’t but ends up doing things impossible things since they are small but mighty in strength. Size always provides some significance.
