Amazing what nature does over time, seeing a tree like this would make me hesitant about living here. If it can do this to a tree, how might I look in 20yrs!!!

I love the trees in Shropshire by the side of the roads – they always remind me of the Ents in LOTR with their outstretched arms and tangled branches. So often when driving I wanted to stop and take a photo but never anywhere safe to do so. I know this is not Shropshire, but it is a similar tree: an old man bending forwards to pick something up off the ground.

Such a dramatic image. I am imagining the stories that this tree could tell; there would be many twists and turns, subplots, and even some dead ends.
A story tree – that’s a lovely notion. Makes me think of the shamanic world tree that grows in the centre of the universe and holds everything up.
