A hard frost overnight, but this morning a big sun; the garden fence lit up; a glow of crab apples.
Passing on brightness among the shadows.

How lovely. are they?
That low-angled sun this time of year is best! Thanks for sharing Tish!
Other worldly somehow. Rain tomorrow. Happy weekend, Bill
Beautiful!
Thanks, Pamela.
oh don’t they look wonderful in the sunlight with the shadows behind – are you making anything with them?
I’m thinking I prefer looking at them. They’re so bright and I can see them from the kitchen window. I’ve found several wild sources for jelly.
perfect ๐
They’re late, aren’t they? All crab apples near us are wizened and/or fallen. Lucky you!
The domesticated varieties seem to last well into the winter. The little Everest in the front garden still has its apples. But yes, yesterday, I saw all the wild apple trees around BC had dropped their fruit.
I only know domesticated varieties!
Fiercer weather maybe?
More that we don’t seem to have much in the way of wild apples, crab or otherwise round here.
Ooh, they look so rosy! xx
Definitely rosy, Jo.
A glow of crab apples. A lovely description
