Wild oats and a summer storm brewing: I liked the muted tones in contrasting textures.

These convolvulus flowers seemed to light up a shady corner:

And finally – three photos taken at Penmon Point on the island of Anglesey. In descending order: view of Puffin Island;  looking across Menai Strait to the Welsh mainland;  boy looks at lighthouse.

  1. oh, like everyone, I love the ladybird snuggled in so comfy. I loved the lighthouse as well. There is something so simple and profound about a lighthouse. Very nice Tish

  2. I love the sensitivity of the open field & convolvulus flowers. The peekaboo of the ladybug is fun. Your last few vistas are stunning.

  3. What an excellent selection for this challenge!
Love the wild oats and the contrasting texture!
Flowers never cease to astonish us! Isn’t that true? The clarity and the dark background appealed to me.
The barley field is breathtaking! Barley emphasises the significance of nutrition.
Oh! The ladybug with the sage leaf! You captured the image so wonderfully and promptly, just before the ladybug disappeared, and this informs us about the transient beauty of our life!
The last three shots are stunning and show Mother Nature at its finest!
I like how the lighthouse clicks emphasises the feeling of scale between the individual, the lighthouse, the sea, and the great sky!
Tish Farrell, thank you very much for taking part in this challenge.
