Interesting baptism. Cool train. We have the largest steam locomotive repair facility in the country here in Albuquerque. It’s now called the Rail Yards. It gets used as a move set a lot.
Oh Tish I remember my father doing just that when I was about 5 and we still travelled everywhere under steam! The SVR featured often in my family life, taking my children on picnics to Arley or Highley and Bewdley. The man checking his shoe is a classic shot!

I remember the steam trains down in the South Island of NZ when I was young.
Great steam photos Tish. Love the guy taking his shoe off! I have been wondering about the fate of steam trains when / if coal is banned completely.
That’s a good point about coal. I’ve wondered that too. Will we lose our heritage steam railways?
