…the hesperantha in the garden is STILL flowering – albeit translucently and only at her stem tips. She has been buried under a foot of snow for nearly a week, frozen and defrosted, and refrozen. Then we’ve had downpours and mighty windstorms. I don’t really know what to make of her, other than to give her a big round of applause. She’s been flowering continuously since August.

That’s one tough cookie! We are still waiting for ours to flower.
I’m wondering if ours is up for the next season’s round, or whether it intends to have a kip first.
I’ll see if I can post a photo of the state of ours tomorrow just for you to see. Looks pretty dormant at the moment showing a complete lack of interest in sprouting.
Maybe hesperantha has decided she prefers more frigid climes 🙂
Darn! I was supposed to take a photo, wasn’t I? I did have a squizz at it and it looks a bit the worse for wear after a couple of hailstorms over Christmas.
I can wait till it’s recovered 🙂

Yep. Too much food all round, and especially in the midriff area. Am now thinking fondly of lettuce in the polytunnel – though I won’t be there any time soon. I’m going back to bed. Hmph.

That first photo is a stunner, Tish. So delicate and transparent. Makes my hibiscus in sunlight image from this morning’s stroll look terminally ostentatious!
Was lucky with the light I think. Also that I found the macro setting on my Lumix camera. Duh! Only took me a few months to realise it was there on the dial.
A few months? By my standards that is instantaneous!
