It’s a Dandelion Clock. As children we’d see how many blows it would take to blow off the seeds. Then you’d know what time it was 🙂 Reply
Good morning, Tish – thank you for this beautiful photograph…it takes me back to childhood and telling the time:) Reply
Irresistible subject isn’t it? I have a whole archive – most recently of my granddaughter performing the tradition, although she shakes, not quite having mastered blowing. Northern hemisphere heads are bigger than those at home. Reply
The thing is I curse them at the allotment, but then on the path home, there I am snapping away, thinking they look so beautiful. Reply
Pretty photos.
Very good close ups!
Lovely, but why “clock?”

Ah. We just made a wish and blew the seeds away 🙂 The rituals of childhood.
I like that. May your wish come true 🙂
Was it accurate do you think? 😉 I can’t remember. Lovely photo.
Ah, those timeless times 🙂
I’m in awe!!
You’ve outdone yourself here, Tish.
Beautiful photo.

Thank you. Pauline. There maybe more coming up. Got a bit fixated on dandelion clocks 🙂
They are fascinating aren’t they…
Great details in this clock! Lumix or Kodak?
Kodak, for this clock, Paula. I’m quite impressed what this little camera will do.
