A face with immense character. Great photo …
Yes, indeed, a lots of stories to tell.
The type of person one could listen to for hours. : )
Superb portrait, Tish, full of character (even though Izzy used the word before I did.) 🙂

I agree with Isadora! Great photo!
Deep. I popped along to read the story behind this image Tish. I hope others do too.
That’s very good of you, Jude. Thanks.
Thank YOU for the story behind this powerful image.
I read your story of the Medicine man. It is very thoughtful, insightful and very sad. It is like the entire history of African colonialism is written in that face. One of my grandsons has a Kikuyu father he never sees so the story really affected me. Words fail…
You have pinned down my own thoughts about the medicine man’s face. Thank you for your very thoughtful comments, and the way this touched your own family. In many ways the consequences of the past are still very much alive in Kenya, or anywhere else where grave injustice has been done, and no worthy restitution made.
Suzanne, you have pinned down my thoughts about the medicine man’s face. Thank you for your very thoughtful comments, and saying how this touched your own family. In many ways the consequences of the past are still very much alive in Kenya, or anywhere else where grave injustice has been done, and no worthy restitution made.
What a bewitching photo. There is so much wisdom tradition in those eyes, I’d love to know all the stories the medicine man has to tell. Thanks for posting Tish.
Thanks for dropping in, Emma, and yes, so many untold stories.
I like your interpretation, Tish. There is depth in his look.
