We woke to snow this morning. Not too much and already melting at 8 a.m. but, even so, far too early an occurrence for the time of year.
The first photo shows the kitchen rooflight.
I think it’s likely to be an indoors day.
Becky shows us some very fabulous Norwegian shadows today.
very pretty though
It comes with some good light π
Noticing snow up on the mountain tops. Soon, too soon it will be coming down to street level.
Hm. Forewarned but a tad menaced by the sighting too.
The first snow of the winter is nearly always around my daughter’s birthday (23rd Nov) although it is usually only in Scotland these days. It’s pretty nippy even down here!
I’ve not noticed it this early in Shropshire before. It’smostly melted now.
It must be nice to wake up to a blanket of white!
Only if it’s not intent on staying long π
We even had snow falling in Ealing for a short while this morning though it didn’t settle and soon turned to sleet and rain before stopping. We have an icy wind however π₯Ά
Icy wind does not sound good, Sarah. We’ve got sun here tomorrow (though cold). Hope you get some sunshine too.
Yes, sunny though still very cold this morning
how cosy inside here Tish especially with the smattering – love the log burner in white/grey? so many choose black so as not to show the smut
We’ve got the smut covered, Laura π The little stove’s a creamy colour. Took ages for the makers to paint it.
Love your cozy corner, Tish. We started the day with dark clouds, thunder, and rain, something most people wouldn’t enjoy, but here in the desert, it’s a wonder and we’re thankful for it. I understand your snow being too early, but I do miss winter, snow, and the beauty to be found, besides being able to wear sweaters and cozy clothes. There’s a limited season for those things here. π
Back in Ohio, we had a wood-burning stove inserted in our fireplace and it was such a joy. It not only had a literal warming effect, but added joy to each day it was in use.
I can well understand your missing wintery weather, Janet. Sometimes one does feel one needs a good dose of cold. We felt like that in Kenya sometimes, though it could do frost if you went to the right place. And as for the stoves, yes we love them – a bigger one in the bigger sitting room.
No snow here but it is rather unpleasant with a strong north wind and frequent showers!
Oh dear – a north wind AND showers, that sounds nasty. Hope you get some of our forecast sun in the next few days.
we even had sleet down here in BoA! What a gorgeous corner to spend a day in
Thanks, Becky and for liking my ‘corner’
A lovely cosy corner made warm by the wood burner.
Yes, a cosy corner, Pauline.
Well! definitely too early
WHOOT!!! π
